Lab alumna featured in IF/THEN AAAS exhibit

History in the Making! The @IfThenSheCan groundbreaking statue exhibit is finally coming! You can check out this first-of-its-kind exhibit of 120+ 3D printed statues of #WomeninSTEM, soon to open at the Dallas North Park Center. This exhibit is founded in the belief that together we can inspire the next generation of #STEMpioneers! Excitingly, Dearing Lab alumna Dr. Johanna Varner will be one of 120 women featured as innovators and role models in STEM. “IF she can see it…THEN she can be it.” AAAS knows it, and we know that Jo is a great ambassador for the program! The exhibit will be traveling the country in the upcoming year, and to learn more about it and the ambassadors, visit IfThenExhibit.org.

Jo graduated from the U in 2015 with her PhD in Biology, and is currently an Asst. Professor of Biology at Colorado Mesa University. Her work studying pikas has been highlighted several times in the scientific literature and the media, like this recent piece. Way to go, Jo!
