The lab heads back to Morongo Valley

Dylan once again led a group into the field to continue sampling at his site in Morongo Valley, CA. This was Noah’s first trapping trip, and he succeeded in finding some nice creosote bushes and strong woodrats. The team trapped and released dozens of animals safely. Fall camping in the desert is the best!

Noah by his favorite creosote bush! These rats eat well.

Can you spot the woodrat midden? This one uses the rocks to create structure. Some others we find are built under felled logs or live bushes.
